Casey Anthony Under Siege

As almost everybody knows by now, Casey Anthony has been released from jail for a second time, and is currently residing at her parent's home in a neighborhood where emotions are running high. Because of those emotions her neighbors have taken to the street and are taunting and tormenting the Anthony family in front of their home, constantly under siege from very vocal protestors, most of whom believe that Casey is responsible for the disappearance and obvious death of her two-year-old daughter Caylee whose body is yet to be discovered and likely never will be.

It is an intense situation in front of the Anthony home, and rightfully so. The court of public opinion has taken hold in the Anthony's neighborhood, with some demonstrators traveling thousands of miles to voice their disgust that Casey seems to think that she can get away with what she has done to her daughter as long as she remains un-cooperative with investigators who are looking to resolve the case as quickly as possible. By all appearances the entire Anthony family doesn't appear to be too concerned about the fate of Caylee anymore, and one could be forgiven for assuming that any concern they have shown in the past was contrived, if only for purely cosmetic reasons under the media spotlight.

That said, the Anthony family is getting what they deserve in the court of public opinion, and eventually Casey is going to buckle under the pressure and reveal the truth about what happened to her daughter. It is this writer's hope that the public and media keep up the pressure on the Casey family for as long as it takes to break Casey.

Looking at the circumstantial evidence against Casey, it is easy to understand why people are convinced that she had something to do with her daughter's disappearance, and that Caylee's body will never be found.

On August 25, 2008, the Florida State Attorney's office released 437 pages of discovery evidence against Casey, and if anybody needed any proof that Casey is responsible for the disappearance of her daughter and the death that led up to her daughter's disappearance, the state attorney's office has provided the public with enough discovery evidence for anybody who reads such evidence to declare that Casey is responsible for whatever happened to her daughter.

Whether or not she acted alone remains to be discovered.

There is a lot of compelling circumstantial evidence against Casey in the discovery documents, and whether there is a body or not, the case against Casey is solid enough to proceed with a murder charge against her.

It's not a matter of "if" Casey is charged with the disappearance and murder of her child, but a question of when she is charged. The State Attorney's office will exercise due diligence before proceeding with a charge against Anthony.

The game Casey is playing to avoid prosecution for her crimes is coming to an end, and she knows it, and unless she cracks under the pressure and tells the truth about what she did with her daughter, she is going to spend the rest of her life behind bars whether she intentionally killed her daughter or not. The only thing that can save Casey now is if Caylee turns up alive, which as we all should know by now isn't going to happen because she cremated her daughter with the gasoline that was in the two gas cans that was reported missing from the Anthony family home only to mysteriously reappear later.

My Theory

I think that Casey pulled a "Kate McCann", that she used chloroform to knock Caylee out so that she could go out an party without having to pay for a babysitter, after all Casey was struggling financially and could hardly afford to pay for a babysitter. It wouldn't have cost Casey anything to party at a nightclub by the way given that her boyfriend ran the nightclub where she would have likely went to on the night that Caylee died.

Upon her arrival home from the nightclub, Casey discovered Caylee's limp and cold body in her crib, and after that initial panic and trauma of discovering her unwanted daughter's dead body surpassed, she went into damage control mode and came up with a plan to dispose of her daughter's dead body.

After a sleepless night, Casey went about to dispose of the now decomposing body by first borrowing a shovel, and secretly removing two jerry cans full of gasoline from her mother's home.

Next, she drove to a wooded area (phone pings came from at or near a wooded area), found a secluded place in the forest, dug herself a pit, threw Caylee's body into that pit, doused the body with gasoline, and lit a match. After several minutes, during which time she would have added combustible materials (like dried tree branches or whatever) to make the fire as hot as possible to achieve the best possible results (nothing but ashes and teeth remaining), the fire burned itself out and then Casey filled in the pit. She would have felt a sense of relief from that point on.

After she disposed of the body Casey returned the borrowed the shovel, and in her haste put the jerry cans back in the Anthony home garage, but not in the place where she had found them. That would explain how the jerry cans were discovered missing and then later found.

It could have been the perfect plan if Casey had not forgotten the one vital act she needed to complete to pull this plan off, reporting to police that her daughter was missing. That part I don't understand, but I will chalk it up to the fact that Casey doesn't appear to me to be the sharpest tool in the shed, and that she is a lot dumber than people give her credit for.

My theory isn't one that can be easily brushed aside, and I have no doubt in my mind that there are some investigators from the FBI and the sheriff's department who have a similar theory in mind, and that when the time is right they will put that theory to Casey when the time is right. Boy would I like to be a fly on the wall when they put that theory to Casey.

I believe that Casey didn't report it to police because she wanted to give the body enought time to decompose.

I don't know why she chose not to call the cops, but Caylee's grandmother eventually did. I really think that Casey dug a hole in the ground somewhere, dropped the body in it, soaked in gasoline and then she lit a match, stoking the fire with branches or whatever. Remember there were two missing gas cans from her parents home that mysteriously re-appeared and she borrowed a shovel from a neighbor.

I also think that her claim that she was doing her own investigation into her daughter's disappearance was part of the plan to explain why she didn't call the cops in the first place. What Casey didn't count on was her mother asking her about Caylee day in and day out. I also think that Cindy (Casey's mom) knows more than what she has told investigators. Cindy knew about this so-called kidnapping by the babysitter before the police heard the story, and that Casey told her mother all about it, making sure she included details that the kidnapper/babysitter threatened to harm Caylee if she Casey or anybody else) went to the police. Keep in mind that Casey says she was handed a script by the people who took Caylee, something she failed to mention to police, but had no problem mentioning to the bounty hunter that posted her $500 thousand bond once she was released from jail the first time.

Mine is just one of a hundred theories out there, but I do believe Casey cremated her daughter after she deliberately or accidentally killed her.
